Class 20 D8098 (20098)

D8098 is currently in service, running for most of the summer on weekend and on some midweek services. The loco is now in need of a repaint and bodywork attention, and this is likely to occur within the next year. This will be dependant on space being available in Rothley carriage and wagon works.

Class 31 D5830 (31563)

D5830 has been a solid performer so far this year, and has only required day to day maintenance so far. The spanner MK1 boiler has had assesment work done on it regarding repair, and is planned to be assessed by the GCR's boiler inspector before work commences

Class 47 D1705 (47117)

D1705 has also been a solid performer so far this year, and an assessment has been made on the boiler and related equipment, which is in good shape. We would like to express our sincere thanks to Nigel from the Brush Type 4 Fund for his kind assistance in assessing the boiler.
